White House Compromises on PATRIOT Act
Looks like Republican holdouts on the PATRIOT Act renewal forced a compromise from the White House. Good for them. I've got a bit more on this and some excerpts over in my new iteration as co-blogger at The Moderate Voice.

Just a reminder, the White House compromised on the no-torture deal and then voided it with a bleeping signing statement.
Jeremy, not enough compromise for me, but then, this IS the government that just ignores those pesky laws that they don't like.
