WaPo on "Elvis"

I've already waxed rhapsodic about the rediscovery of the Ivory-billed Woodpecker - back in April, when the news broke - but an article in the Washington Post today, "Hunt and Peck," is more than worth a few minutes of reading time. It's a good summary of where things stand today with efforts to locate the bird population and to maintain their habitat, the deep, swampy woods of eastern Arkansas. I also recommend "The Best Kept Secret," an article in the current issue of Audubon written by Rachel Dickinson, the wife of Ivory-bill "rediscoverer" Tim Gallagher.

I happened by and spent a little time reading your blog. I thought I'd leave a note that I was here.
