Goldberg and Gandelman on the Center

Jonah Golberg from National Review had an op/ed in the LATimes yesterday, which I missed. It's lamenting what Goldberg sees as the two parties "galloping to the center." Joe Gandelman over at TMV responds - brilliantly - today. Don't miss this post.

Hi Jeremy, do you have any opinion on this article?
http://nationaljournal.com/about/njweekly/stories/2005/1122nj1.htm#

It's from the National Journal. However, I don't follow politics very seriously, and I don't know this publication. For instance, does it have a known political leaning like The Nation or National Review? Due to my ignorance, it is hard to make a real assessment of the information.

Apologies for such a request from a stranger....

Paca - I don't doubt its accuracy. The National Journal is a widely respected (if obnoxiously expensive) outfit, and their analyses are generally quite good. Also, this jives neatly with what former terror czar Richard Clarke has been saying for quite some time now.

I found the end of this article extremely disturbing, by the way. Not surprising, but disturbing. Thanks much for bringing it to my attention!
