Boehlert to Decide Soon on Reelection Bid

Via PoliticalWire, CQ Politics reports that centrist upstate New York Rep. Sherwood Boehlert is expected to announce within the next several days whether he'll seek reelection for a 13th term this November. Boehlert, who represents the district where I grew up, has been one of the strongest voices for moderation and principle within the Republican Party, and his loss would be a tremendous blow.

Run, Sherry, Run!

If he's such a strong voice for moderation, where are his votes?

J., what votes would you like to see? Voting records on any topic are easily obtainable, and by every gauge Boehlert is located near the ideological center. He has led the fight in recent years to increase fuel efficiency standards and beat back drilling in ANWR as chairman of the House Science Committee, and recently he's spoken out strongly in favor of a culture of scientific openness at NASA and other government agencies. If you'd like more specifics please let me know, I'd be happy to provide them.
