Hagel-Bloomberg??

Political Wire reports a very interesting trial balloon being floated by Chuck Hagel; in an interview with CBS, Hagel said "I am not happy with the Republican Party today. It's been hijacked by a group of single-minded almost isolationists, insulationists, power-projectors."

Hagel recently dined with NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg, and had this to say about their discussions: "We didn't make any deals, but I think Mayor Bloomberg is the kind of individual who should seriously think about this. He is the mayor of one of the greatest cities on earth. He makes that city work. That's what America wants. It's a great country to think about - a New York boy and a Nebraska boy to be teamed up leading this nation."

You know, we could do a whole lot worse ...

I like the idea of more than 2 parties. Maybe this would work.

BTW, glad to see you are posting again Jeremy. Miss your posts.

Hagel/Bloomberg while not my first choice, would make like fery difficult for both parties. It has some merit to it, although it will not win and election.
