... But Edwards Does

Wow. I just watched John Edwards' speech from yesterday's Take Back America conference. I think I figured it out - the DNC just picked the wrong former presidential candidate to put in charge of the party.

Unlike Dean, Edwards talks substantive issues, making strong criticisms of the Bush Adminstration's fiscal policies without mudslinging and personal attacks. If you can, watch this speech, it's worth it.

Alot of people speculated that had his wife not been diagnosed with cancer, Edwards would have ran for the DNC post. Although wrong on a lot of trade issues, Edwards was the only Democrat besides Lieberman to interject new ideas into the debate during the primary campaign. I am afraid that by taking the number two-spot under Kerry, he may have ended his career. It's a good thing for him that he is so youung.

I agree. He's too protectionist, but he's smart and he's genunine. I went to a rally where he was asked a question about something obscure and his answer was actully. "I don't know, but that's why I come to these things to learn what issues people care about."

I'm not sure I'd want him as DNC chair though, he's got more potentiel than that. Still I'd take a dead rabbit over Dean, the guy's so incompetent.

Also, I like the blog, I'll be back.
