Senate Confirms Brown, Invokes Cloture on Pryor

The Senate confirmed Janice Rogers Brown by a vote of 56-43 Wednesday; Nebraska's Ben Nelson joined Republicans in voting to approve the nomination. Immediately following that vote, cloture was invoked on nominee William Pryor. Cloture was invoked by a vote of 67-32. A final vote will be held on Pryor tomorrow at 4 p.m., said Majority Leader Bill Frist. Roll calls will be posted when available.
