Friday Satire

Another week under our belts. Here's some of the best political satire on the web to start your weekend off with a smile (hopefully, at least).

- Scrappleface has a hilarious look at the Democratic spin over the 'near-victory' in Ohio this week.

- The Swift Report gives us an inside look at the Bush Administration's new strategy to push its Social Security privatization plan.

- From The Garlic, how the Administration finally settled on "global war on terror" over "global struggle against violent extremism." For John Bolton, they also offer "Top Ten Cloves: Ways to Screw Up On Your First Day as U.N. Ambassador."

- In honor of the energy bill, The Capitol Steps reprise one of my all-time favorite parody songs: "God Bless My SUV."

- The Onion takes a look at the White House's new strategy for dealing with Karl Rove: deny his existence.

- Finally, from Borowitz this week: say hello to Justice Barney.

- Almost forgot this one I noticed yesterday - James Lileks takes a look at the agenda for John Bolton's first day at work.
