Deadly Reminder

An al-Qaeda linked group has claimed responsibility for today's rocket attack on American ships in the port of Aqaba, which resulted in the death of a Jordanian soldier, injury to an Israeli taxi driver, and damage to a Jordanian hospital. This attack should serve as an alarm bell to all of us that Osama bin Laden's al-Qaeda network remains alive and active, and that its leadership remains at large. These terrorists continue attempting to wreak havoc on America and our allies, including moderate Arab states like Jordan.

U.S., Israeli and Jordanian officials are reportedly cooperating in the investigation and pursuit of the attackers, and I hope those responsible are quickly found and brought to justice.
