John Cole is right. Peter Maas' "The Breaking Point" in today's NY Times Magazine is the must-read article of the day. It is a lengthy but worthwhile examination of that moment, not too far down the road, when we are forced to deal with our addiction to Saudi oil by the simple fact that they won't be able to keep increasing production ad infinitum.
