On the South Asian Quake

When I first read the news of the huge earthquake centered in Pakistan on Saturday morning, I feared that the casualty numbers were much too low (CNN was saying 36 had died). A murkier but much more horrifying picture has now emerged, with estimates of those killed now ranging up to 30,000 or more. The world, as it does, is responding. Our hearts and thoughts go out to those affected by the disaster, and I hope that rescue efforts are successful in locating those who may still lie trapped.

Joe over at The Moderate Voice has a wonderful post with news, blog-coverage, and quotes from around the world in the aftermath of this quake.
