Tales of Recruitment Woe

Charles Babington and Chris Cillizza have a should-read piece in today's Post about the difficulties Republican campaign committees are having in recruiting top-notch candidates against potentially vulnerable Democrats for the 2006 elections. Y'think this ought to be a clue to anybody that maybe our party's off in (far) right field and needs to start rethinking its strategies a bit? I can't blame the prospective candidates for staying out of these races - I certainly wouldn't want to try and run next year on the record of this president and this congress!
