More Show Notes

Alright sorry for the delay in this, but here are a few more thoughts now that I've seen some more of the show footage and transcripts from earlier today.

The Obama interview, which I discussed briefly this morning, was decent. The video is online now, here.

Mary Landrieu on "Fox News Sunday" seemed a little off her game. I'm sure she's exhausted, and who wouldn't be in her position, but her repeated answers to Chris Wallace's questions about why the city's school buses weren't used to evacuate residents New Orleans were pretty, um, weird. She first said, upon seeing the picture of the buses, "Chris, those buses are underwater." Wallace reminded her, gently, that the buses weren't always underwater - and somehow it again became FEMA's fault ... oh, and again, "those buses are underwater." Huh?

Allen was online again aside from the brief interview I mentioned; he did well all around. Senator Collins again made the good point that we all need to be asking - if this is how we respond to a non-surprise event, how are we prepared to deal with a terrorist surprise attack?
